SAK YANT TATTOO PRICING
Pricing of In-House and Sak Yant Tattoo Tours
Sak Yant Pricing Details
At Sak Yant Chiang Mai, we have been striving to offer this wonderfully unique service of getting a 100% Real Sak Yant Tattoo for less than the price of obtaining a Sak Yant Design from a regular Tattoo artist.
The Sak Yant Pricing Details
The In-House Option: $2000 Baht
We started the In-House option when we opened our store in October 2016. Here we have visiting Monks and Ajarns come into our old city store location and spend the day providing the Sak Yant Tattoo and magical blessing in our own scared Sak Yant Room.
This service we offer 4 times a week
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: Ajarn
Here the pricing is simple. Total cost for a typical Sak Yant (see bottom of the page) is 2000 baht. A booking fee of 1000 baht to secure your reservation and a 1000 baht donation to the Monk or Ajarn.
We can accommodate one person every hour for this service.
The Temple Monk Visit Option: $3000 Baht (excluding donation to Monk)
This is a 3-4 hour tour to a remote Temple location to visit a Monk at their own Temples. The Temple Tour Price does not includes the Monk Donation. Larger Yants, with more time or greater detail sometimes require an additional cash donation.
We provide the opportunity for 2 people being able to go on a morning tour, and 3 people being able to go in the afternoon. If you have more than one person in your booking, we offer a substantial discount for a 2nd and 3rd person.
1 Person getting a Sak Yant = 3000 baht
2 People getting a Sak Yant = 4500 baht -
3 People getting a Sak Yant = 6000 baht -
2 People (one watching) = 3500
3 People (two watching) = 4000
Monk Donation = Start 1000 baht for basic design
The Ajarn Tour Option: $2000-3000 (Sak Yant cost extra)
This is our most difficult option to set a standard price. We have a variety of Ajarns, some within 15 km of the city, others 50 km away (hence the 2000-3000 tour cost). Unlike other companies offering Sak Yants, who go to a single Ajarn (at a set price) - we offer a variety of different Ajarns.
Each Ajarn also has independent pricing structure, based on the size of their Sumnak (Scared Sak Yant Room) and their reputation. No one will be paying the 100,000 baht Angelina Jolie's Ajarn now charges (but gets students to do the Sak Yant - while he sometimes does the blessing) - But prices vary among different Sak Yant Ajarns.
Ajarns are professionals! They charge for there skills and offer commission payments to anyone who brings them new students (The term used for the Sak Yant Recipient). We have requested that each Ajarn reduces the commission from the price they charge to lower the cost for our guest. After all, we are being paid for our time and translation skills in the cost of the tour.
When a guest selects an Ajarn tour (unless specifically asking for a particular Ajarn) we choose the lowest cost Ajarn first.
